Who are you?
I am the Editor-in-Chief of a yearbook staff in Virginia.
Who publishes your book?
Herff Jones.
What qualifies you to run this blog?
Honestly, I am just a high school senior who loves yearbook to the point where it consumes my life. I was a design editor on a Pacemaker Finalist book and our past books have received many honors of a local and national level. I have been to numerous yearbook camps and conventions and I feel as though I have a strong grasp on the concept of creating the history book for your school. If you don’t agree with something I have said, just send me a message and I’ll respond with the best of my abilities.
What’s up with this “Editor List”?
The editor list is just that: an alphabetical list of yearbook editors on tumblr. If you are an editor/past editor and want to be on the list, just send me an ask or submission. You can include any information if you would like such as what kind of editor you are (EIC, copy, photo, design, business etc.), your publisher, your book’s name, what awards you have won, etc. I think that it goes without saying I have no control what is on these blogs and I am not responsible for any inappropriate material etc.
Why didn’t you post my submission?
Often times, I queue submissions for “You know you’re a yerd when…” up to a month in advance. This helps me manage my time more effectively because I have a lot of school work to tend to. So far, I have posted or made note of any submissions I have received, so your idea should be published shortly! If you’re seriously concerned about it, leave me a message.
I found a typo!
Please let me know if you find a typo or grammatical issue. I’ll fix it right away!
Will you share your personal?
If you ask me a question off anonymous, I will usually answer through my personal blog providing it doesn’t require a super long answer. That being said, all you have to do is ask me a question and you will have the link!
Will you follow me?
Sorry, this is a secondary blog so I can’t. But, believe it or not, I have actually clicked through the first few pages of anyone who has followed me.
Can I help with this blog?
The best way you can help me is through passing on my link to your fellow yerd friends or people on staff and submitting ideas. My favorite ideas have come from people just like you such as posting spreads for inspiration and making an editor list.
