I stumbled across a typography dating game called Type Connection. It’s really cool because you can develop your font pairing skills and start the process for your 2013 font selection. You are also able to delve deeper into the history of the fonts and it’s hilarious to see fonts have personalities. Fonts, a game, the internet and learning. I don’t know what would be better.

I feel like we’re in the minority, but nevertheless, we’re guilty as charged.

Hey! I need your help. This Saturday my adviser is speaking at a small convention and she asked me if I could put out a request for photos of your staff! Any photos of you and your staff having fun, going to CSPA, NSPA, eating ice cream, going on field trips, blowing bubbles, or just hanging out are all welcome and extremely appreciated. Plus, how cool would it be to say that you were in a presentation all the way across the country in Virginia?
Click here and send me a link to the photos or photo with a little description of what you guys are doing ASAP. I’ll be waiting!
Many thanks to this Facebook page for the yerds helping yerds bit. T-shirt worthy? I think yes.

Whenever I queue a post about food, I find myself being subconsciously forced to make something for my staff. It’s kind of coincidental. This week in order to celebrate our Pacemaker Finalist standing, I made 2 cookie cakes- one for each class period. So, we munched on those scarfed them down while making little crowns to put up around the room.

I checked eDesign at least 5 times over spring break just to flip through the book and try to ignore errors. It helped fill the void :)

CONGRATULATIONS! The NSPA Twitter posted this link. From what I can tell, Yearbook winners aren’t up yet, but all of the other categories are.
Did you know there are over 30,000 high schools in the country? In my mind, this means that if you submitted your book to NSPA for judging, you are among the top books in the nation. It takes a lot of guts to even mail your school’s yearbook for critics to look at. It means that you are confident in your book and that you believe you have the potential as a publication to be ranked among the best of the best. It is that desire which makes you awesome. And don’t you dare doubt your or your book’s awesomeness.

You yerds at Carmel High School are true geniuses! I wish I could take credit for inspiring #yerdpickuplines, but the real stars of #yerdpickuplines were @OfWiessAndMen and @amandaferrar I just picked a wide variety of tweets and screenshot them for you, but if you want to see more, click here

I’ve loved stalking all of the NSPA hashtags and hearing more about all of the amazing classes that you guys went to. I hope everyone had fun in Seattle- good luck at the awards show!
